Chef Rick Bayless recently brought his Mexican fast-casual brand from Chicago to Times Square in New York — with some key changes.

In this iteration, Bayless worked with Aria Group of Oak Park, Ill., to create a full-service experience. The sweet scent of churros wafts from a sidewalk window to evoke a street food vendor. A 10-seat bar at the front of the restaurant creates a convivial atmosphere that is continued throughout via communal tables that encourage patrons to interact. The team commissioned Mexican-American street artist Marka27 to marry Mexican imagery and gritty graffiti styles together.
