Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar announced that it has purchased two shuttered Ruby Tuesday locations in the Missouri towns of Nixa and Republic.

According to Austin Herschend, Big Whiskey’s Franchising CEO, the Republic location will be the first opened with the chain’s redesigned concept. The building will undergo a complete overhaul, inside and out, with renovations expected to begin as soon as final plans are drawn and permitted. The chain expects the new store to open this summer. This restaurant will also serve as Big Whiskey’s first freestanding location.

Big Whiskey’s currently has five locations in Missouri, with two new restaurants, including one Arkansas location, set to open by the end of May.
