Fast-casual pizza phenom Pie Five Pizza Co., part of Rave Restaurant Group, is now making its presence felt in the Chicago area.
The Dallas-based company entered the market this week with the opening of a store in Skokie, Ill. A second location is on track to open in Schaumburg on April 10 and a third in Naperville on April 17. In total, 15 stores are planned for the Chicagoland area, part of a nationwide expansion program that has 400 new company-owned and franchised locations planned over the next five to six years.
RAVE now operates more than 40 Pie Five locations in 10 states and Washington, D.C. The concept allows guests to customize their pizzas, selecting from among four crust options, seven sauces and 27 meat and vegetable toppings. All pies are priced at $6.99 and are cooked in 145 seconds in custom-designed ovens.
Pie Five units average 2,100 square feet with 70 to 85 seats. Interiors are simple and contemporary with warm, natural materials.
